[The mysterious red threads decorating the school have cleared up as of this fine Monday morning. Is it finally safe to venture out again?? For the most part, yes! But. . . the Mischief Makers seem to be in prime form today, for some reason? If you spend any significant time outside the safety of your dorm or the nurse's office, you may find yourself the victim of one of their silly little pranks!]

[It may take you a moment to notice, but once you do, you realize. . . the omamori that you're carrying around with you isn't yours! Whether it was during breakfast, while you were perusing the school library's book collection, or just passing throughout the hallways, the Mischief Makers have yoinked your omamori and swapped it with someone else's. SCANDALOUS. You'd better return this missing charm to its rightful owner ASAP. And get your own back, too. Just in case]

[Swapped charms will act as dousing rods of a sort, leading you to the charm's proper owner. There's nothing stopping you from making a trade once you find them! Though. . . you may want to guard your charm a little more closely after this, just in case the Mischief Makers try to yoink it again. . .]

[Otherwise! The school continues to exist in its super haunted state. The auditorium recently got a makeover. Maybe you're discovering the bathroom ghosts for the very first time. And hey, are there two new portraits hanging in the school lobby. . .]

[On August 10th, everyone wakes up to find a series of red yarn strung across the entire school. They dangle from the hallway ceilings, from the classroom door frames, even across some of the trees and bleachers outside. The ones that hang within reach feel warm to the touch! They can be pulled down and removed with little consequence.]

[However, it is not the decorative threads you should be worried about. Throughout the week, any two characters who come in close proximity with each other (they do not have to touch!) may suddenly find themselves tied together with the exact same red thread. If you're lucky, it will only link you via your wrists. If you're unlucky, it might bind you via your ankles, or even wrap you both up back-to-back like a pair of captives. Hm! Concerning!!]

[Any time two characters are tied together, a playful voice echoes in their minds: Hehe. Share a secret. . .?]

[To be released, both characters must share a secret with each other! Something that the other one doesn't know! It should be something significant; the playful threads will not let you go unless it is. But the level of significance may vary from something light to something that is not, so ultimately it is player's choice as to what secrets count and which do not!]

[. . . anyway, for anyone who wants to avoid getting caught, the nurse's office and dorm rooms are completely clear! The threads are also fickle; it is possible for two characters to hang out without being tied up together, if you don't want to play with this effect. Otherwise, go forth and mingle with some optional forced bonding!!]

YO, FRIENDS! I have finally decided what minigame to run this month! Here is your hint.

The game will take place on Saturday, August 23 at 10:00 a.m. MT (9:00 a.m. PST/11:00 a.m. CST/12:00 p.m. EST). Your teams will have three choices to make, and I'm hoping to have you all finished within five hours, give or take. It depends on how quickly y'all can make those choices, BUT I HAVE FAITH YOU GUYS WILL BE FINE.

In preparation for the game, I need anyone who intends to play to sign up below with what your character is most afraid of. These should be deep-seated fears that would cause your character to balk! Something they would do their very best to avoid under any circumstances! This is a test of courage, after all; anything they would be able to face without batting an eye wouldn't count. These fears can be physical, psychological, etc etc. . . follow your heart, I will roll with whatever!

Sign-ups will be open basically until the game begins, but the earlier you give me your character's fears, the more time I have to prepare. If you don't give me any fears, you can still. . . technically play. . . but there will be an element of the game you won't be able to take part in.
